WellSpring was born in 1992 out of the absence of biblically-based, professionally trained, affordable, accessible counseling in Central Ohio.  As a ministry division of Central Ohio Youth For Christ, today WellSpring has a staff of nearly 45 Psychologists, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Coaches, Social Workers, and Masters student interns provide counseling/coaching ministry to clients, integrating faith into practice.  Professional Clinical and Coaching standards and authentic Christian lifestyles are sought in all practitioners.  WellSpring seeks to make professional Christian counseling/coaching accessible and affordable through church affiliations and satellite offices.  WellSpring Counseling offers Masters student practicum and internship experiences to students in state accredited programs.

WellSpring Satellite offices provide easily accessible counseling/coaching in the local community through partnerships with local churches.  Nearly 30 satellite offices are currently available in Columbus, Delaware, Dublin, Circleville, Hilliard, Lancaster, Grove City, Gahanna, Marysville, New Albany, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, and Westerville.  These arrangements provide another means for WellSpring to keep overhead costs low so that counseling/coaching can be more affordable as well as conveniently accessible.

Last year, with a budget of over $400,000, WellSpring provided nearly 7,000 counseling sessions and scholarshipped nearly $180,000 of free counseling to those with qualified need.
