Volunteers are the lifeblood of WellSpring ministry. With their help, WellSpring is able to keep administrative overhead costs low which enables us to give away approximately 30% - 35% of our counseling to people who might not otherwise afford such help. Consider how you might fit into our volunteer team:
Auditory engineer (Phone Receptionist of course!) - a warm friendly greeting blended with compassion, consideration and information, can be a lifesaver when people call in discouraged from the lack of answers they've received from the behavioral healthcare system. Our phone receptionists and intake workers are often the first and most lasting impression hurting people will have of WellSpring. Gain valuable experience. Join our highly trained team for one or more four hours shifts during the week.
Intake Specialist - Do you have a keen ear, a level head, and some background in mental health or counseling? Our intake workers listen to potential client's needs, ask good questions, and then find just the right counselor/coach fit for people calling in seeking help. Get wonderful training and experience, and have your gifts and talents make a difference for the Kingdom. Join our highly trained team for one or more four hours shifts during the week.
Newsletter Editor - Have you ever thought to yourself that, perhaps one day God would direct you to volunteer as a Newsletter Editor where you worked hard and got paid nothing? Okay, so you never really thought much about that. Do you love to write? Are you creative, and do you love to coordinate writers and craft a written work of art and get to see it come together? If you have such passions and some background with Microsoft Publisher, have we got an opportunity for you! Once each quarter, WellSpring publishes and mails out "The Source" to nearly 1,000 homes, businesses and churches in central Ohio and beyond. Come get trained and add your leadership and direction to our ministry team. GOD HAS PROVIDED THIS! Thank you Mark! |
*Because of the confidential nature of our setting, all WellSpring volunteers complete an interview and application process, including references and a background check prior to involvement on our ministry team. Volunteers will receive training in specific areas related to their field of service. In addition, should they so desire, they are welcome to participate in other in-house training opportunities as well.
