WellSpring provides affordable, accessible professional Christian Counseling/Coaching in Central Ohio. As a division of Central Ohio Youth For Christ, WellSpring is uniquely equipped to address the spectrum of needs of children, youth, couples & families in addition to adult interpersonal, spiritual, and mental health issues. Some of the areas of concentration include: family conflict; parent / adolescent issues; parenting; marital conflict, premarital preparation; anxiety/depression; anger management; grief; childhood sexual abuse; addictions; psychological testing, and many more. In addition to counseling and coaching, WellSpring offers Internships, Satellite Office locations, Groups/ Classes, Workshops/Speakers, and Training opportunities.
Counselors and Coaches at WellSpring all ascribe to the Central Ohio Youth For Christ Statement of Faith. All are participating members of local churches and would characterize themselves as evangelical Christians though they worship in diverse denominations. All are followers of Jesus Christ and strive to live lifestyles which reflect His influence and work in their lives. They apply their faith to their counseling/coaching practice through the integration of biblical principle and the use of scripture with psychological applications which are consistent with the scriptures. Counselors at WellSpring offer counseling/coaching services with fees ranging from $120 to $40 per session. They maintain a limited number of openings for clients needing the $40 to $60 fee adjustment. Premarital assessment and preparation costs vary.
The WellSpring Internship Program provides access for those who might not otherwise afford behavioral and mental health care. Masters student interns offer supervised counseling services from fees ranging from $100 to $5 per session, based upon qualified need. Masters student interns come from local colleges and universities such as Ashland Theological Seminary, University of Dayton (Capital University Campus), Methodist Theological Seminary, Liberty University, The Ohio State University and more. Interns receive training, supervision and mentoring from the WellSpring community. In addition, WellSpring regularly provides undergraduate internships and high school senior field experiences.
WellSpring Satellite offices provide easily accessible counseling in the local community through partnership agreements with local churches. Nearly 30 satellite offices are currently available in Columbus, Delaware, Dublin, Circleville, Hilliard, Lancaster, Grove City, Gahanna, Marysville, New Albany, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, and Westerville. These arrangements provide another means for WellSpring to keep overhead costs low so that counseling/coaching can be more affordable as well as conveniently accessible.
WellSpring Groups/Classes are offered on a regular basis at churches throughout Central Ohio. Divorce Recovery, Grief, Depression, Boundaries, Addiction Recovery, How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk©, are only a few among many diverse choices.
WellSpring Workshops and Speakers Bureau provide inexpensive access to behavioral health needs. Offerings ranging from marriage & parenting to interpersonal skills training to depression and grief, and many of the Equipping Ministries International© (EMI) life classes are available to local churches and civic groups. WellSpring’s professional clinicians are also creative speakers/teachers for conferences, Sunday school classes, luncheons, women’s groups and more.
WellSpring Training Opportunities are offered at affordable rates to Mental Health Professionals, Pastors and Ministry leaders to broaden or sharpen skills and equip leaders to impact others. Many of these offerings include continuing education accreditation (CEU’s or BRCH’s).
