Cat has a focused practice at WellSpring meeting with youth ages 11–19 in the community on the West Side of Columbus. Over the past ten years, she has been able to witness countless teens make different and better choices for themselves and understand hope in a way that they originally thought was impossible. She’s also been present for their deep trauma and overwhelming circumstances. It’s the personal knowledge of the depth of this pain and the opportunity of hope that motivates Cat to work with this population. Cat’s passion is supporting and guiding youth toward relational and emotional healing that can impact their families and communities for years to come. Cat has experience working in community mental health, mentoring and counseling individuals during and post incarceration, mentoring and counseling at-risk and high-risk youth, and individual counseling with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns (PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Spiritual issues, etc.). Cat is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Feedback Informed Therapy, and In-Home Behavioral Therapy.
For fun Cat likes to play board games with her husband, go to metro parks and libraries with her two young children, and spend time drinking coffee with her friends.
