Amy holds a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. At WellSpring, Amy has a general clinical practice with clients ages 13 and older. She specializes in counseling adolescents and adults with trauma and PTSD, substance abuse/addiction issues, anxiety and depression.
Amy spent 4 years working in drug and alcohol treatment centers where she developed her passion for working with people who struggle with addiction issues. During her time working with people who struggle with addiction, she developed another passion in working with people who have experienced trauma and/or who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Amy believes that the counseling relationship should be a safe space where a person can experience support, acceptance, and healing. She and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors with their dog. They are active members of Dwell Community Church.
